Your 3 new Favorite Smoothies!

These three smoothie recipes are delicious, nutritious and sourced with local CCF fresh ingredients! They are packed with fiber and are naturally sweetened by fruits and veggies. Let us know what you think of these recipes!  

 Carrot Smoothie

(makes 2 8 oz. servings)

Ingredients

- 1 full carrot, or 2/3 large carrot

-1/2 a nectarine (or frozen pineapple or mango)

-1/3 apple

-1/3 banana

-Ice shavings or 2 ice cubes

-10 oz. orange juice


What to do

1. Gather and prepare the ingredients listed above.

2. Blend to your hearts content! 

3. Enjoy immediately! Serve with granola, almond butter, chia seeds and sliced berries, if you please!



Beet Blueberry Smoothie

                                                                 (makes 2 8 oz. servings)


Ingredients

- 1 whole Detroit Red Beet, or half a large beet

-1/2 banana

-3-4 oz. blueberries

-Ice shavings or 2 ice cubes

-10 oz. cranberry juice


What to do

1. Gather and prepare the ingredients listed above.

2. Blend to your hearts content! 

3. Enjoy immediately! Serve with granola, peanut butter, chia seeds and sliced berries, if you please!


Spinach Cucumber Smoothie

(makes 4 8 oz. servings)



Ingredients

-1/2 whole cucumber (unpeeled, organic preferred)

-1/3 banana

-2/3 cup pineapple

-Greek yogurt (optional)

-1 tsp. Lime Juice 

-1/2 cup cold water

-1/4 cup of coconut milk 


What to do

1. Blend and enjoy!
